Dr. Black is the co-founder of Hemalytics, LLC and has over 17 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and management having spent over a decade successfully helping to build three different companies as an Operations Executive. Most recently at Qualyst and IntelliCyt Corporation, a high-throughput cell-based screening solutions provider, Dr. Black was responsible for building a laboratory operation capable of performing contract screening services as well as developing and launching assay screening kits. Prior to IntelliCyt, Dr. Black was the Operations Leader for both CellzDirect and Life Technologies/CellzDirect where he grew both a multi-site, international in vitro hepatic products and a contract services business. At CellzDirect he was responsible for overall revenue goals, R&D, and operations for the products and services businesses. Before CellzDirect, Dr. Black built and managed the operations for a GLP cell products and contract services division of Cedra Corporation. He received his Ph.D. in inorganic biochemistry from Ohio State University and has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters in both cellular and biochemical research areas.
